Mixing Two Trends

Today on Topknot Style, I am sharing a really cool way to mix two trends together for Spring.
I love these two trends right here… An off the shoulder top and the military trend! How pretty is this top from Lulu’s? I have talked about how much I love the military trend several times. This trend can be done in such a cool way and it can be very subtly or very big.

I know that a complete look of everything trendy can look… well, really trendy. Not always a vibe you want to put out there. Most of the time, a bunch of trends together will not work. A really easy way to mix two trends together is keep one of them really simple. These pants are just the Army green color; there’s no big pockets or camo print anywhere. They pair really well with this top that has a little more going on. The stripes are happening, along with the big ruffle along the entire neckline. To keep all eyes on the top, I paired this look with simple, nude heels, and I added a blue bag just for a pop of color.

A few other trends that would be perfect together would be the slip dress and sneakers, overalls and a bodysuit, and mules with cropped flares.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this look! Thanks for stopping by!
