Instagram Looks & Getting Real About My Blog

JUST WANTED TO SHARE A FEW INSTAGRAM LOOKS WITH ALL OF YOU TODAY AND SHARE SOME THOUGHTS I’VE BEEN HAVING ABOUT THIS GEM OF A BLOG.

The first of my Instagram looks is one my favorite outfits. It’s a Missguided bodysuit with a pair of higher waisted denim. I love these two pieces so much because there is just so much you can do with them. I could easily throw on some sneakers or sandals to keep it really simple or I can add a bunch of accessories to dress it up for GNO. These floral heels are my oldest pair of heels, they’re BCBG, and I wore them for my college graduation. All you could see was my shoes!

I have fully embraced my more casual approach to fashion. It wasn’t a style that I really thought was me, but through blogging, I have realized that being comfortable fits me. I have a more casual lifestyle. I love the idea of wearing a dress and throwing on some Adidas sandals. It’s very fashion forward and is really true to who I am.

Now, speaking of blogging, I want to ask all of you a question. What do you think the secret is to success? I have heard it over and over again, staying true to yourself. But that isn’t really all it takes. It can’t be. I am not here to whine or complain, at all. I would simply love some guidance and encouragement and any advice y’all wanna give me. I never would have thought that when I started blogging, which was FOR FUN!, that I would judge myself and want to stop because of numbers. The truth is, my blog just isn’t really growing, numbers-wise, and I have to wonder if I should still be doing this. I apply all the tips and tricks I read about over and over again, but the growth is very small. I still love my blog, but I think when someone realizes what they can do with something and what they can make from it, you can’t help but want it grow! Now, I have had amazing experiences and great collaborations come my way through Topknot Style so I know that numbers are not everything. And I hate that I get down on myself over a blog…a good blog. You love it, right?!

With that, I just want to thank all of you for reading and subscribing and liking and following me. And a big thanks to my photographer, Jennifer Collins. She makes my blog better and somehow makes me look super good. Wink. XO.
